We are seeking a seasoned, yet hands-on, communications expert to shape and execute a cohesive strategy for all external and internal communications. She/he will report directly to the CMO, lead a small but mighty team of communications professionals, and collaborate closely with Executive Leadership, Marketing, Product, Business Development, and other cross-functional stakeholders to generate news that cuts through the competition and drives consistent business results.

Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders.

Enterprise news stories and thought leadership that align with cultural and industry trends and resonate across different audiences.

Partner across all lines of business to understand respective roadmaps and extract key values to communicate internally and externally.

Continuously and ruthlessly prioritize various needs of the organization to drive the greatest impact.

Secure earned opportunities for executive thought leadership.

Deep understanding of the competitive landscape, messaging, and strategy.

Manage and guide external PR agencies to drive maximum market awareness and preference.

Respond to crises and challenging situations quickly and professionally.

Uphold brand voice and maintain brand integrity across all touchpoints.

Conduct quality control on all communications.

Attend select speaking engagements and host special events.

Elevate internal communications to drive employee awareness and engagement.

Track engagement across various platforms and make data-driven decisions.

Create a budget for the communications team and ensure compliance.

What you've accomplished:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field

A minimum of 10+ years of experience in communications or public relations preferred

A strong network of media contacts and the ability to influence and negotiate to protect and enhance the organization's reputation

Skilled in issues management, and crisis communication, and have the ability to serve as a key advisor to top executives

Experience working with strategic external client partners to drive mutual value

Ability to distill complexity into digestible messaging

Uncompromising eye for quality

Impeccable writing and copy-editing abilities

Excellent verbal and presentation skills

Analytical skills to solve problems and find the best way to convey a message

The creativity to produce exciting and interesting content

Organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize projects while working on a deadline or in a fast-paced environment
