Job Summary:
Camillo Companies is actively seeking an experienced Construction Manager. The Construction Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the new home construction from start to finish, ensuring that schedules and budgets are followed. The role starts with managing the construction of multiple homes in an assigned subdivision from permit to closing by scheduling job site subcontractors, scheduling several homebuyer walk-throughs, and inspections to ensure the work performed meets quality standards and adheres to company guidelines and specifications. The location of the assigned subdivision is determined by the Area Construction Manager and subject to change as needed in the interest of the Company.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises each contractor and subcontractor to ensure that work meets quality standards and adheres to specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversee the construction of multiple homes, in multiple communities, from start to finish
Maintain a high level of quality and consistency throughout each home
Ensure homes are built within the time frame allocated and within budget
Inform Purchasing of all take-off errors or material issues
Watch your expenses and stay at or under budget
Build excellent rapport with home buyers and new homeowners
Build excellent and fair relationships with trades and vendors
Maintain community and job site cleanliness at all times
Install and maintain Sold and Available signs on all homes under construction
Manage material waste and misuse of materials
Adhere to and manage Jobsite Safety at all times
Work closely with the on-site Sales Counselors and communicate often
Redline new home start packages and distribute to trades and vendors
Ensure homes close when they are scheduled, or sooner
Walk your homes several times daily
Maintain an organized house file for each address
Conduct pre-construction, pre-drywall, pre-settlement, and sign-off meetings with each homebuyer
Weekly communication with each buyer is required every Monday with your Sales Counselor
Complete warranty letters in a timely manner
Required Skills/Abilities:
Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.

Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations
Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings
Knowledge of and familiarity with operating basic computer systems and programs (i.e. Windows, Adobe, Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Education and Experience:
Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in homebuilding or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
Ability to travel the greater Houston area is required
Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues on a jobsite
