Logistics Analyst

This Logistics Analyst role is your opportunity to make an impact and construct something from the ground up. You will lead analysis of distribution operations, transportation and inventory driving our focus on cost control and containment and execution excellence. Analyzing operations performance and initiatives that explore cost savings, service improvements and optimal efficiency are intrinsic to this role. You will be maintaining key data sources that support operational execution and excellence and providing data-based guidance to inform management’s strategies and plans and to formulize decisions.
You have a strategy and plan to revolutionizes the operations process in the ERP system by capturing current state processes and builds recommendations for issue resolution, testing, training, and monitoring success of the ERP implementation. Your Influence on the future state of an agile operational network with the new ERP system will be recognized.

This role is a one-year fixed-term position with company benefits, and offers the flexibility of working remotely within the United States or working a hybrid schedule if based in the San Diego, CA area.

In this role, you will utilize your strong analytical skills to bring data together to generate actionable insights, and then drive that insight to completion .
Process Development
Collaborates with customer service, supply planning, and 3PL partners to build processes in place to track delivered service and build best in class warehousing practices.
Provides key support to the development & implementation of processes and systems related to the ERP implementation: “Inventory to Deliver” and “Procure to Pay” processes
Leads business process mapping sessions with subject matter experts (SMEs).
Documents detailed current state processes; identifies and documents key business requirements and risks. Supports the development of a minimum viable product to satisfy business requirements & mitigate identified risks.
Supports and documents the development of future state processes
Leads process redesign sessions for existing supply chain planning processes focused on improving the efficiency of the organization. Partners with supply chain team to map and document processes
Logistics & Warehouse Operations
Functions as a central liaison for all logistics and warehousing operations in the network
Relentlessly pursues and analyzes the development of opportunities to reduce waste in transportation and warehousing (labor, materials, system/plant resources), streamlining processes, increasing performance standards, increasing accuracy rate, increasing capacity, reducing materials costs. Doing so by working with materials planning, manufacturing, customer relations, sales, and marketing which will result in control of our costs and increasing contributions to EBITDA
Improves performance of customer orders, transportation, manufacturing, and warehousing sites throughout the network regarding productivity, capacity, schedule attainment, costs, deductions, compliance to QC standards. Make recommendations for action as needed which will result in our lowest operating costs and highest customer service leading to increased contributions to EBIDTA.
Conducts scenario analysis for special projects to quantify cost and qualitative comparisons to aid in decision making
Reports metrics to monitor performance of the distribution, transportation, and warehousing network, with key emphasis on operational throughput and holding costs calculates targeted KPI performance goals to align with our business targets, and implements corrective actions
Leads business process mapping sessions with subject matter experts (SMEs) to document detailed operational processes for ambiguous fulfilment channels
Owns Sarbanes-Oxley processes in Operations, embracing their continued integration into our business.
Manages the inventory accuracy program to continually improve our processes in cycle counts and physical inventory counts and partners with external distribution centers and inventory team to execute the program
Audits month-end financial analysis and control working closely with Finance and all Operations staff.
Guarantee the accuracy of the tables in our ERP system that drive operations functions

What You’ll Bring To The Role
What You'll Bring to the Role
3-7 years’ experience with process analysis and/or systems development within a Supply Chain function
Experience working in process improvement for logistics, warehousing, and transportation operations a plus.
Super star data analytics and critical thinking skills
Project Management experience, collaborating cross-functionally and driving consensus
Experience in working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
Experience working with Tier 2 ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite), Epicor, Infor, SAP S4
Some project management skills to enable the prioritization of tasks for self and others
Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science preferred
Certified by professional associations and ongoing education in Supply Chain management research and education preferred
Total Rewards
$94000– $115000/ year includes base salary plus 10% - 15% profit-sharing contribution to your retirement account. Salary is determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data
