About the team + role
As an engineer on the Customer Trust & Safety team, you will be responsible for building the foundational products and services that Robinhood teams utilize to ensure Robinhood is a safe place for our users.
This team aims to provide solutions and platforms that cater to a variety of internal and external scenarios from building prevention and detection controls for specific fraud patterns to building generic platforms that enable rapid prevention, detection, and mitigation cycles.
Our success is our customers’ success; you will directly help customers safely invest, engage & transact on the Robinhood platform as they build their financial future! Your work will be critical in building and maintaining trust with our customers, regulators, and the public.
What you’ll do
Own sophisticated technical projects from design to execution stage with emphasis on scalable and long lasting designs.
Build fraud detection solution, platforms, and abstractions to materially accelerate and empower other developers
Collaborate with our product, data scientists, and other engineers in our team to design and architect innovative solutions to improve Robinhood’s fraud detection and mitigation platform and build user trust
Deploying machine learning algorithms and augmenting data scientists to make the Robinhood the most trusted platform
Adopting industry standards and best practices..
What you bring
3+ years of software engineering experience.
You are able to tackle sophisticated engineering problems that deliver results
You have a strong technical grasp and have excellent judgment on task prioritizations
You can demonstrate self-sufficiency
You have a growth mindset coupled with a fascination for technology at scale

The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.
US Zone 1: $157000 - $185000
US Zone 2: $139000 - $163000
US Zone 3: $122000 - $144000
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. You can view comp zones for our US office locations in the table below. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
