Assistant Professor of Construction Management
The Construction Management Program at Western New England University (WNE) seeks applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning in Fall 2024. Candidates for this position must have a Ph.D. in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a closely related field, and must have demonstrated ability or potential for excellence in teaching and research at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate is expected to (1) teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in construction management, construction engineering, and related courses, (2) develop and maintain internationally recognized externally funded research, (3) pursue scholarly and service activities, and (4) lead national and international student competitions.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Expertise in (but not limited to) Construction Robotics, Automation in Construction, Smart Construction and
* Infrastructure Systems, or Building-human interaction
* Effective teaching and pedagogy skills appropriate to the position
* Industry experience
The Construction Management Department is the newest department within the College of Engineering (COE) and offers Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Construction Management. The COE offers BS degrees in Civil and Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical engineering. It also offers MS and PhD degrees in multiple programs.

Applicants are requested to submit a single PDF file containing a cover letter indicating their teaching and research interest, detailed curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information of at least three references.
Qualifications
* Ph.D in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field
* College-level teaching experience (graduate TA experience acceptable)
* Pursue professional licensure
