Job Summary:The purpose of the Graduate Assistantship (GA) position is to offer expanded and enhanced resources, support and services for student academic success and emotional well-being. The GA will have a strong mentorship and accompaniment dimension so students have opportunities to conduct research, pursue professional development, or gain teaching experience with a faculty mentor. Each collaborating faculty-student team will have to follow a criteria and application process that ensures student development through the GA experience.Full Job Description:The Graduate Assistant will work with a School of Education (SOE) faculty mentor in the area of research, teaching, or professional development in: International and Multicultural Education, Counseling Psychology, Learning and Instruction, Leadership Studies, Teacher EducationThe Graduate Assistantship will provide awarded students with the opportunity to engage in professional development, teaching, and/or research in furtherance of the university’s mission, as well as the student’s graduate education, working with a faculty member with expertise in the field of educationThe Graduate Assistantship application is open to School of Education students in good standingWork schedule is determined by GA and faculty mentorThe maximum number of hours GA may work in one day is 7.5; the maximum number of hours GA may work in one week is 25 (domestic students) and 20 (international students)GA is required to complete all USFWorks/Workday tasks and be approved by Student Employment prior to beginning work with faculty mentorGA is required to submit an electronic time sheet twice each month and be approved by the faculty mentor to receive paymentFinal approval of the Graduate Assistantship is by the Dean of the School of EducationFull-Time/Part-Time:Part timePay Rate:HourlyPosted 30 Days AgoPart timeR0004298About UsThe University of San Francisco is located in the heart of one of the world’s most innovative and diverse cities, and is home to a vibrant academic community of students and faculty who achieve excellence in their fields.
