FI’s FinancialRisk Managementrole encompasses the methodologies, tools, and approaches thathelp ourclient’sprotect their portfolios.The primary responsibility of this individual is to process and analyze datafor risk management purposes, e.g.,stress testing,risk reporting,acquisitions, loan origination, account maintenance, collections.
Responsibilities:
Analyzing and interpreting complex data sets in various software packages using statistical and financial techniques
Work closely with model owners, business lines, andCFO organizationto improve models and analytics throughdata
Collect data from various sources, perform analysis and interpret results toassistin making impactful businessdecisions
Assistin data strategy and governance, data quality, and data architecture and modelingprojects
Required qualifications:
BS/BAdegree in aquantitative discipline such asfinance, engineering, physics,statistics,ormathematics
3+ years of riskmanagement experience at a financial institution
3+ years of experience in capturing, manipulating, and analyzing largedatasets
Knowledge of data structures, data warehouse concepts, and data modeling
Knowledge of methods for preparing data for statistical models and/or Machine Learning models
Experience developing and automating extraction, transform, and load (ETL) processes including using enterprise data integrationtools
Experience using enterprise database platforms (Oracle, IBM, SAP HANA, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)and cloudplatforms
Experience writing SQL and programming knowledge in Python or R
Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques
Ability to articulate highly technical information in a simple, concise, clear, and understandablemanner
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree in aquantitative discipline such asfinance, engineering, physics, statistics,or mathematics
Experienceinthe financial services industry, includingCCAR and/orDFAST
Prior consulting experience
CFA, FRM or similar professional certifications
