Bonnell Aluminum seeks a professional with strong working knowledge of manufacturing engineering, and a focus on workplace safety; who manages projects and process improvements with minimal oversight; effectively communicates with customers and colleagues throughout the organization to organize resources, efforts, and results; makes valuable improvements to designs and processes; mentors others to increase the total capability of the team; and understands the end goal of increasing the bottom line of the company through automation.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Develop manufacturing cost estimates for fabricated aluminum extrusions through automated manufacturing cells, providing quotes and feedback to sales and customers.
Design, quote, implement, and maintain off the shelf and customer punch and fabrication tooling.
Develop automated equipment, tooling costs and lead time.
In a timely manner analyze quality defects and ensure quality of fabricated aluminum extrusions are within customer standards.
Collaborate with department managers on project design scheduling.
Apply an understanding of process and equipment failure modes to create reliable systems and processes.
Design electro-mechanical systems for automated equipment using engineering principles and mechanical & electrical knowhow.
Maintenance knowledge and root cause analysis, use of hand tools, welding, power tools, etc.
Manage project schedules and budgets within pre-determined limits.
Create processes, procedures, and standardized work to ensure effective startup and ongoing fabrication.
Prepare engineering reports and requests for capital with justification of ROI.
It Would Be Great If You Have:
Beginner Fanuc Robot Programming Experience.
Beginner Allen Bradley PLC Experience.
Understanding of CNC, G-code programming, and or CAM experience.
CAM Experience.
What You’ll Need to Have:
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience.
Understanding of Solid Works.
Understanding of technical drawings and tolerances.
Moderate understanding of machining and fabrication methods and principles.
Eligible to work in the U.S. without Sponsorship.
