Responsibilities:
Site Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of project sites to evaluate soil conditions, site layout, and potential challenges related to concrete construction.
Concrete Testing: Perform tests on concrete mixtures to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards, ensuring the structural integrity of the project.
Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to develop efficient and effective plans for concrete-related tasks, adhering to project timelines and budget constraints.
Formwork and Reinforcement: Supervise the installation of formwork and reinforcement to guarantee the accurate placement and alignment of concrete.
Concrete Placement: Oversee concrete pouring and finishing operations, ensuring proper techniques are used to achieve the required surface characteristics and durability.
Quality Control: Implement quality control measures throughout the construction process to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel involved.
Equipment Management: Manage and maintain concrete-related equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition for use.
Troubleshooting: Address any on-site challenges or discrepancies in a timely and effective manner, proposing solutions to maintain project progress.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of concrete quantities, testing results, work progress, and any modifications made during the construction process.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in concrete construction and field operations.
Strong knowledge of concrete materials, mix design, and relevant industry standards.
Familiarity with construction methodologies, practices, and techniques.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in using construction software and MS Office applications.
Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to different project sites.
