Network Manager

The Network Manager has the day-to-day responsibility to ensure the Stock Yards Bank & Trust network is secure and functions efficiently to meet the needs of the bank, and to deliver/support best practice enterprise technology solutions and services. The network manager will also oversee the work load and performance of the network team.
Responsibilities
Plan and lead the networking team in establishing a network design capable of supporting the bank’s needs
Attend technology seminars, conferences and training courses to stay up to date on current technology trends
Day-to-Day management of information security environments and related networking and telecommunications equipment, services, standards, policies and contracts
Establish policies and standards for networking equipment and technologies
Monitor network performance to track capacity and performance trending
Provide support of mission critical systems: WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless and security solutions
Assess current and future Network and Security needs
Analyze network functions and failures to isolate and define problem areas
Diagnose and assist in the resolution of infrastructure configuration and implementation issues
Ensure network documentation is stored and maintained properly
Be a mentor for the network team members to encourage and assist with their professional development
Ensure network resiliency is sufficient to meet the expectations of the bank
Engage in all Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and Audit initiatives
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
BS in computer science or related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted
Minimum of 8 years of experience supporting Cisco networks in a large size IP network that encompasses routing, switching and VoIP communications
Strong knowledge of network protocols and concepts such as Spanning tree, EIGRP, BGP, HSRP, VOIP, QOS, TCP/IP, 802.1q, 802.1x, MPLS, DNS, TACACS
Network Access Control
Overlay Transport Virtualization (OTV)
Edge and Datacenter firewall management
Strong understanding of layer 2 networks and topologies
CCNP preferred
