Project managers carry the complete responsibility of individual projects from the start of the project in the conceptual/schematic design phase though project construction and completion. The Project Manager is the primary point of contact for the project on both an internal and external basis and shall direct the project work flow through project engineering and production ensuring the completion of company protocols for documentation, communication, and quality control.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for the contracted scope of the project including support to the Project and Studio Directors in the development and issuance of sub-consultant agreements including the identification of scope that may be additional services, and control work flow to deliver the project in a timely manner.
Support Production Team in the creation of project drawings and project deliverables. Drawings to include conceptual drawings, full construction documents, and as-built drawings.
Development of engineering calculations specific to swimming pool systems including hydraulic design, mechanical and pumping systems, filtration, chemical treatment and general automated controls.
Provide direction and leadership to both the Project and Production Teams in the development of project deliverables.
Develop project specifications related to the aquatics scope of work within the project.
Review of the technical production standards for contract documents, drawings and specifications related to the aquatics scope of work. Participate in maintaining industry leading standards.
Carry primary responsibility for adherence to quality control processes for drawing deliverables, ultimately resulting in the highest quality deliverables to our clients.
Coordinate work with Counsilman-Hunsaker Client and other design disciplines on a project by project basis providing consistent communication and quality deliverables.
Provide construction administration support on projects through review of contractor submittals, RFIs, Supplemental Instructions and onsite observations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or Landscape Architecture
Minimum - 5 years’ experience; Preferred - 10 years’ experience and professional licensure
Competencies
· Knowledge of utilizing Revit and AutoCad to generate project deliverables.
· Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with full responsibility.
· Articulate professional written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
· Knowledge and skill using Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
