This is a full-time, position. The successful candidate will be arecognized leader in construction management for large water resourcesprojects with demonstrated technical expertise in construction management andproject management, particularly as it applies to dams, energy,fisheries, infrastructure, or natural resources. We are looking forsomeone with the demonstrated ability to direct and supervise project teamscomprised of staff with highly specialized expertise on water resourcesprojects with a high degree of foresight and mature judgment in anticipatingand solving problems.This job is cross-posted in several locations. Applicants need only apply toone location to be considered for the position.Responsibilities:Leads discussions, meetings, and workshops on large and complex projectsEnsures that all deliverables produced by the team meets risk managementrequirementsTakes leadership role in the marketing of large pursuits and may serve as aprimary marketing contactDevelops strategies resulting in opportunities with new and existing clientsPlans, creates, and oversees deliverables such as schedules,specifications and budget reportsImplements and leads technical reviews and management of QA/QC programs forlarge projects in the water resources area of expertise and ensures compliancewith client or company policiesProvides input to company strategic initiatives and objectivesManages various technical aspects for multiple projects at a time that requiresupport staff and resourcesOversees construction management teams consisting of resident engineers,office/field engineers, inspectors, and other technical consultantdisciplinesActs as project owner's representative in managing constructioncontractors, including acting as a primary point of contract withcontractors, and performing contract administration duties such aspayments, change orders, time extensions, and certificates of completionPerforms constructability, biddability, schedule, and budget reviews atthe preconstruction phase of the projectSupport design projects by performing constructability reviewsAbility to take on the role of Program Manager for increasingly larger andcomplex projectsShows a consistent track record of delivering projects on time and budgetTechnical ability and experience to manage projects with fees up to and beyond$50MillionQualifications:20+ years heavy civil engineering or construction management experienceBachelor's Degree Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementBenefit if holds engineering professional registration/certification orother engineering specialty certification20+ years specialized management experience in the construction managementof large and complex civil projectsProven track record to deliver heavy civil projects on time and within budgetDemonstrated ability to direct and supervise project teams comprised of 5+staff with specialized expertise on heavy civil projectsDemonstrates a high degree of foresight and mature judgement in anticipatingand solving heavy civil project problemsMust have the ability to professionally speak and write in EnglishMust have the ability to travel to project sites within the US, includingAlaska and HawaiiCompensation Package:Pay Range: $175,000 - $225,000 annual (DOE)Benefits: McMillen provides a full Benefits Program consisting of Medical,Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, FSA, EAP, 401(k) andmatch, 9 Paid Holidays, generous PTO, opportunity for Stock Ownershipand WellnWho We Are: McMillen, Inc.
