The salary range for this position is £53,723to £58,732(Grade 4A).

Job Description
The Lead Business Analyst will be responsible for leading and maturing the existing Business Analysis function within the IT department. The role will include the oversight of all Business Analysis deliverables across the IT portfolio to ensure they meet the required high standard. The role will include the planning, estimating and resourcing of IT & Business Projects. Engagement with the wider business, along with internal IT teams such as Project Management, Enterprise Architecture and Business Engagement will be critical to the role.
Main responsibilities
Main Responsibilities for IT Lead BA:
Lead the Business Analysis team in delivering all inflight Business Analysis activities across the IT function.
Management of strategic planning of all future Project Business Analysis activities. Project sizing, resourcing & financial estimating.
Management of the engagement, planning and alignment with Project Management, Programme Management Office, Enterprise Architecture & Business Engagement functions within IT.
Responsible for maturing and developing the Business Analysis function within ITImplementation of a Business Analysis methodology and artefacts in alignment with the existing IT Change Framework.
In combination with Architecture and Programme management define and implement the appropriate business analysis tool set.
Responsible for the development of the business analysis team, including training plans, in line with NNL Values and Career pathway methodologies.
Collaborate with Team Leaders, Business partners, Programme managers, and Vendors, to problem solve, and exchange information.
Responsible for Task and Line Management of the Business Analysis Team members. Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues, setting objectives and expectations of performance.
Supervise the creation and quality of end-to-end process maps, requirement catalogues and strategic documents ensuring that they fully meet business requirements and are in line with relevant strategy.
Develop a thorough understanding of the current IT solutions and work with key stakeholders in the business to identify new requirements or opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate project tasks with the vendors, business leads, stakeholders and business partners.
Accountable for Escorting, Task supervision and Sub Contractor supervision tasks at the relevant sites.
Essential Criteria for IT Lead BA:
Must have demonstrated experience of working as a Lead Business Analyst
Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into application requirements
Ability to support the business in the creation of compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations
Be familiar with current and emerging standards associated with IT best practice.
Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations
Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products
Understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards
Able to clearly illustrate processes/ requirements clearly through business process mapping, use case modelling, activity diagrams etc.
Familiarity of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
Demonstrated experience in writing application requirements and test specifications
Self-motivated, proactive and customer focused with excellent organisational skills.
Demonstrable blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills.
Comfortable managing small scale projects to time and budget if required.
Ability to obtain SC level security clearance (this includes but is not limited to identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks plus 5 years’ worth of UK residency).
