As an Azure engineer, your primary focus will be to collaborate with internal teams, utilizing the platform's technologies to achieve their goals while ensuring that your solutions align with the company's security and design standards. You will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions in a Hybrid Cloud environment and supporting a rapidly expanding production infrastructure in IaaS\SaaS environments.
Additionally, you will participate in early morning maintenance windows and a rotating on-call schedule.
You will work closely with the Development, Network, and Database Teams to design, test, and build systems.
Your role will require you to assist with physical installations across local Data Centers, and you must be available to work outside of standard business hours when necessary.
Primary Job Responsibilities Design and Deploy secure solutions in a Hybrid Cloud environment
Support a growing production infrastructure in a SaaS environment
Be part of regular early morning maintenance windows and part of a rotating on-call schedule
Support Development, Network and Database Teams in designing, testing, and building systems
Ability to help with physical installs across local Data Centers
Availability to work outside of standard business hours when needed
Required Skills & Experience We use a wide range of Azure services, with a strong emphasis on hybrid solutions. As such, the ideal candidate for this role MUST have the following skills:
Azure Compute: Experience with Azure IaaS, including right-sizing, migration, and troubleshooting.
Azure Networking: Strong understanding of Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, Azure Virtual WAN, and express routes services.
Azure Identity Management: Knowledge of how Azure Identity management works, especially in Hybrid mode. Understanding of Azure identity protection and conditional policies.
Microsoft Windows Operating Systems: Hands-on experience in setting up and troubleshooting Windows server systems from 2012 to 2022.
Microsoft Active Directory: Understanding of how Microsoft Active Directory works, including setting up GPOs and Objects.
Understanding the core concepts of computer science: OSI model, DNS, Server - Client model, Encryption, Certificates, troubleshooting and so on.
Self-Learning and Self-Motivation: This role requires you to keep up with the latest technology and be open to new technologies on a daily basis.
Knowledge of the following would be a plus VMware virtualization
SAN management, preferably pure storage
BigIP F5 management and configuration.
Containerization and microservices, specifically Azure Kubernetes
SSL technologies and experience in using Microsoft PKI
Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaaC)
Chocolatey packaging
Basic coding skills in Powershell and Bash, and the ability to write scripts.
Experience working in regulated environments (PCI, GDPR, HIPAA)
