Bonding Assembler

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking several Bonding Assemblers to complete repairs on composite, metal, or laminate bonded products in preparation for the painting process for aircraft blades. This is supporting ongoing projects for an Aerospace and Defense leader in Dallas, TX. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity, on the 1st shift Monday- Thursday 5 am to 3:30 pm paying $20 per hour.
Job Description:
Bonds a variety of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment, or structures into semi-finished or finished products.
Lays out articles and cuts parts or materials to size.
Applies liquid or solid bonding agents.
Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle.
Controls conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used.
Sands, burrs, and smoothes over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges.
Monitors and verifies the quality of the finished product.
Completes repairs on composite, metal, or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions. Verifies the quality of the finished product.
Will be preparing blades for the painting process.
Will need to complete a respirator fit check before onboarding.
Requirements: Experience with Liquid or solid bonding agents
Prior work on composites, laminates, or metals in prepping for painting or coating desired.
High School Diploma or equivalent
