Job Description:
As a Construction Scheduler, you will be a vital member of our project management team, responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring that construction projects are executed efficiently and within established timelines. Your expertise in construction methods, along with your proficiency in analyzing ICPM (Interactive Critical Path Method) and CPM (Critical Path Method) schedules, will be essential. Experience with Primavera software is a requirement for this role.
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
The roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Schedule Development : Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop detailed project schedules, incorporating all construction phases, activities, and milestones.
ICPM and CPM Analysis : Utilize your expertise in ICPM and CPM scheduling techniques to perform in-depth analysis of project schedules. Identify critical paths, potential delays, and areas for optimization.
Primavera Software : Utilize Primavera software to create, manage, and update project schedules. Ensure accurate data entry, resource allocation, and integration with other project management tools.
Resource Allocation : Work closely with project teams to allocate resources effectively, ensuring that manpower, equipment, and materials are scheduled optimally to meet project deadlines.
Schedule Monitoring : Continuously monitor project schedules, tracking progress, identifying deviations from the plan, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Risk Assessment : Identify potential scheduling risks and delays and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Reporting : Generate and distribute regular project schedule reports to stakeholders, highlighting critical path activities, milestones, and any changes to the schedule.
Collaboration : Foster effective communication and collaboration among project teams, ensuring that schedule-related information is shared efficiently.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all scheduling activities, changes, and updates.
Quality Assurance : Ensure that project schedules adhere to industry best practices and quality standards.
Minimum Qualification and skills:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience in construction scheduling, including ICPM and CPM analysis.
Proficiency in Primavera software (P6) is required.
Strong analytical skills to identify critical paths and potential scheduling issues.
The construction scheduler should have at least 5 years of prior experience in overseeing the scheduling and coordination aspects of major interstate/interchange construction projects, which may include construction management, maintenance of traffic, structural work, highway repairs, and building facility projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in schedule development and monitoring.
Problem-solving abilities to address scheduling challenges and optimize project timelines.
Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation in project scheduling.
Prior experience in construction project management is advantageous.
Relevant certifications, such as Certified Construction Scheduler (CCS), are a plus.
