We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Senior Instrumentation & Control Systems (I&C) Design Engineer in California. You’ll get to work with our world-class Instrumentation and Control Systems team dedicated to protecting the most valuable asset in the world, water. You’ll get to work on projects on every aspect from design through onsite startup work. Using your experience, you'll lead the development of Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), control narratives, specifications, network drawings, panel drawings, and select instrumentation. You’ll coordinate with other engineering disciplines for a cohesive design. You’ll also contribute to the development and growth of people (e.g. mentoring junior engineers) both domestically and globally. You’ll be able to develop control system software in Programmable Logic Controllers and Human Machine Interfaces and perform facility startups and commissioning activities. As well, you will be able to review constructions submittals, conduct site evaluations, make recommendations for control system upgrades, and communicate with clients and management.

The base salary range for this position is $103,600 to $161,850. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Here's What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
10+ years of experience in PLC, DCS, or HMI programming, development of control system architecture, and SCADA systems
Ability to mentor, train, and delegate work to others domestically and abroad
Successful experience with working and managing remote domestic and international staff, and ability to work outside normal work hours at times to coordinate with global team members
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Development of Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID’s) experience
