Role description:
Arcadis is currently seeking a highly motivated entry-level Transmission Engineer to join the Power Delivery team anywhere in the United States.

As part of the Power Delivery team, you will help improve quality of life.
Role accountabilities:
This is an entry level Transmission Engineer position within the Power Delivery unit of Arcadis. The position consists within the coordination of the power delivery transmission and distribution line engineering team and performs hands on engineering, detail design and studies for utility clients in North America. The candidate will work closely and be mentored by Sr. and/or Lead transmission engineer(s) within the Power Delivery group.
Support developing and delivering transmission engineering and design package for multiple projects from 69kV up to 500kV with quality, schedule, and safe design in mind.
Work under direct mentorship of Sr. and/or Lead engineer and design preparing distribution engineering and design package including but not limited to - plan and profile, plot drawings, Pole selection and specifications, bills of materials, shop drawing review, procurement and construction document
Contribute to preparing and developing Engineering Calculations, Equipment Specification, Bid evaluation and proposal support
Help support with project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management
Maintaining close coordination with and help other relevant Arcadis Business Units and Practices for cross selling and cross staffing opportunities.
We are seeking an individual with a strong team player mindset and excellent communication skills to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Additionally, this position may involve travel of up to 25% to client sites and customer meetings, both within North America and potentially internationally.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
0-1 year of Transmission engineering and design experience; US Power electric utility is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation; Familiar with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE or PLS TOWER is a plus
Knowledge of applicable industry standards including the National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and IEEE.
