Radiology Technologist
St. Michael's Elite Hospital, located at the corner of Hwy 6 and the Southwest Freeway in the beautiful community of Sugar Land, Texas, is looking for Certified Radiology Technologists to perform computerized tomography (CT) and radiology exams to produce diagnostic radiographs (X-Rays) and other medical scans and imagining for diagnosis of medical issues as directed by the emergency room and hospital physicians.
Job Duties
Job Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Utilizes computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patient's internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues
Maintains knowledge of basic equipment operations and is familiar with the operational manuals of the equipment utilized by the company
Performs and documents daily, monthly controls on equipment as per facility policy
Must be able to accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, physician orders, administer contrasts materials, prepare and operate the computerized tomography (CT) scanning equipment and position the patient to capture the appropriate images
Must utilize proper safety procedures as not to create an overexposure scenario for both employee and patient. This includes but is not limited to the proper use of peek kilovoltage (KVP) and milliamps per second (MAS) as designated in protocols
Must be able to effectively perform scans and images on various brands and models of computerized tomography (CT) equipment and x-ray equipment including a C-arm.
Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current State of Texas MRT Certificate
Current ARRT License
BLS/Health Care Providers CPR
CT National Registry (preferred)
Education and/or Experience
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent;
CT and x-ray experience in a clinical setting
Maintain skills and knowledge in the advancement of techniques and protocols
Working knowledge and experience with CT and related equipment
Working knowledge of x-ray and related equipment
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of radiology
Language Skills
Ability to read and write in English and to analyze and interpret written company policies, manuals, protocols and/or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports in a concise and organized manner.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, managers, patients, peer employees, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, area and volume.
Able to calculate figures and numbers related to the field of Nursing.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Basic computer skills required.
