Professional Services Technician

EPIC iO is currently seeking a Professional Services Technician to join our team. As a Professional ServicesTechnician, your primary responsibility will be to deploy, service, and maintain network surveillance systems, access controls, and automation. This role involves on-site installations and demobilizations, maintenance and repair tasks, customer communication, subcontractor supervision, logistical material handling, and inventory management. The role duties require up to 75% travel nationwide.
Responsibilities & Tasks Conduct field services independently and as part of a team for prompt and complete resolution of customer projects including but not limited to:JHA’s, systems and component installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs and replacements, and demobilizations.
Maintain shop operations including Shipping and receiving equipment and products to fulfill orders, inventory management, and logistical loading and towing of trailers and cargo.
Assemble hardware to customer specifications; to include wiring, configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
Maintenance of mechanical and maintenance of tools, equipment, and PPE.
Drafting technical documentation.
Ability to learn computer programs and basic networking concepts to provide technical and remote support.
Assist in training internal and external customers, improving processes, and refining existing SOPs.
Build and maintain a thorough understanding of company equipment/system capabilities, technical specifications, product offerings and service pricing including low voltage surveillance/CCTV systems
Perform manual labor in indoor and outdoor environments and inclement weather.
Ability to travel up to 75% or as needed.
Ability to work overtime, after hours as needed and occasional weekends.
HSE Responsibilities: Complete and maintain all reccuring calendar HSE requirements for individual certification, shop operations, and field services per company and customerpolicies.
Onsite execution and enforcement of all safety practices pertaining to customer, local, or national HSE requirements.
Draft, document, revision and submit all Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs) for field service scope of works.
Area / Scope West Texas, New Mexico, East Texas,occasional out of region/state.
Required Qualifications Highschool diploma or GED
Current Driver's License and clean driving record
Basic Building knowledge and power tool use
Proficient in using a computer, specifically Windows software and Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work well with a team and train other to install, use, or maintain equipment
Maintain integrity with a strong work ethic
Ability to problem solve effectively
Desired Qualifications Applicable work experience or technical associate degree
Texas Class B Security Contractor License
California C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractor's License
Networking and TCP/IP experience
Experience and ability to work with low voltage AC and DC systems up to 120VAC
Familiar with light-construction & building processes.
Trailer loading and towing experience
Forklift, and manlift operation, and CPR certificationsor ability to fulfill through company programs
Safeland USA and/or Basin United course completionor ability to fulfill through company programs
Knowledge or certifications of Texas and national safety standards ; (OSHA)
Background in warehousing or shipping and receiving
Experiencewith Windows OS, Linux OS alongwith VMS
Experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Acumatica, SAP or NetSuite.
Background in CCTV, wireless, software and/or technology related equipment
Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift up to 125 pounds.
Comfortable working at heights with ladders and aerial lift equipment.
Willingness to travel up to 50% locally and 25% remotely, implying the ability to move and work in different geographical locations.
