Description
Identify, develop, install and support manufacturing systems and applications. Provide engineering design, programming, guidance and support for industrial control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human machine interfaces, VFDs, fieldbuses and supervisor control and data acquisition systems. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire division in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles. Responsibilities
Specify, design and program PLC-based control systems for processing, machinery and automation
Provide guidance and recommendations for process instrumentation, field-devices, and drives
Provide technical support on plant projects related to automation and adherence to standards and specifications
Provide specification, programming and/or configuration of process instrumentation
Generate and maintain electrical schematics, network drawings, automation programs and configuration files
Support system integrators, original equipment manufacturers, project engineers and the manufacturing plants in the design, implementation and start-up assistance of controls and automation projects
Work with project and plant engineers to develop capital appropriations
Review all system and network access policies to ensure compliance with corporate audit standards
Support projects for system integration firms; assist plants in determining requirements and assessing value of proposed services
Provide management with periodic status reports
Support the hiring and training of plant technical resources
Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree engineering or technology
4+ years of progressive hands on experience with industrial controls
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Fluent in Microsoft Product Suite, Autodesk, AutoCAD, and Windows 10
Self-directed, ability to execute projects with minimal supervision
Desired Experience
Any experience with PLC and HMI program development, including integration of Ethernet based drives and field-devices
Any experience developing, implementing and starting up process control projects
Any experience developing Rockwell based control systems including but not limited to Logix PLCs, PanelView, PF VFDs, Kinetics, and EthernetIP
Any experience architecting and configuring control systems for automatic device configuration and replacement
