The Boeing Company is seeking an Offensive Security Engineer to support the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Cyber Test Capability located in Seattle, WA. The selected applicant will be a key member of an innovation team responsible for the development of advanced offensive cyber tools. This role will also support program execution for cybersecurity test across an enterprise-wide product portfolio.
BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Experienced and Senior level Offensive Security Engineers.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Lead and contribute to the design, development, and implementation offensive cyber tools
Design and drive the development of new tactics, techniques and procedures
Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical expertise and code reviews
Participate in the enterprise wide security assessments to include risk, vulnerability and penetration tests
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of experience designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C# and/or Java
3+ years of experience in leading Mission Systems development and integration
3+ years of experience in real-time embedded avionics mission computer software development
3+ years of experience with communications hardware & software utilized on air vehicle, avionics, weapons, or mission systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with reverse engineering of binaries
Experience with RF testing
Experience developing software/systems to DAL C-A (DO-178) or SAL 1/2/3 (DO-356A/DO-326A) standards
Experience executing, extending, and developing exploits
Experience with memory forensics
Experience with QEMU
Typical Education/Experience:
Experienced (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:

Summary pay range for experienced level: $119,850 – $162,150
Summary pay range for senior level: $146,200 – $197,800
