Position: Construction Superintendent
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Construction Superintendent to join our team. In this critical role, you will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in promoting efficient project operations and maintaining a safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Oversight: Make key decisions related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade employee staffing levels.
Coordination: Oversee work across assigned trades, resolving procedural, design, labor, and equipment issues to ensure project cohesion.
Safety Management: Manage the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with safety codes and regulations.
Team Development: Supervise and mentor Field Engineers and interns, providing performance feedback.
Scheduling: Create and implement project schedules, develop recovery strategies to maintain timelines.
Client Communication: Liaise with owners, architects, and engineers to address field issues and find solutions.
Billing Oversight: Participate in subcontractor and company billing processes, including estimates, payrolls, invoices, and payment applications.
Quality Assurance: Ensure work is installed in compliance with approved contract documents.
Preconstruction Activities: Contribute to preconstruction efforts, including bidding, estimating, and promoting project opportunities to subcontractors.
Qualifications:
Several years of commercial superintendent experience.
Strong Procore skills and/or MS Projects
A 4-year degree in construction studies is highly preferred.
Proficiency with Procore or similar construction software platforms is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of building construction methods, scheduling, contracts, subcontract documents, and project specifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, scopes of work, and project schedules.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
