Quality Engineer

Phoenix, AZ, United States

Manage Pratt & Whitney account, Quality PPM’s, Delivery, Fixed Process submittals, FAI submittals and APQP/PPAP.

Meet requirements per ASQR-01 and AS13100 Standards.

Create DIPs, in process inspection forms and FAI templates.

Assists in completing final packages and verifying accuracy of documentation

Ensure all customer requirements are captured in our internal manufacturing process.

Work with Engineering to develop inspection plans and methods. Ensure customer sampling plans are followed.

Serve on the Material Review Board with production and engineering, ensure nonconforming product is identified, segregated, and given appropriate disposition.

Maintain records in ERP system (E2).

Handle incoming customer complaints, returns and quality alerts.

Manage corrective action process related to product.

Contract Review back up – Review contracts and job packages for quality terms and conditions.

Ensure compliance with terms/ specifications listed on the PO.

Complete Delegated Product Release Verification activities including a review of documentation, visual inspection, dimensional over-check, part marking and serialization, and release documentation requirements.

Attend and participate in a 3 days DPRV course and pass a learning assessment successfully every 3 years.

Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

Promote a positive image of Company

Job Requirements Qualifications and Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Must be US Citizen or have Permanent Resident Card

Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma

Able to understand geometric dimensions and tolerances

Ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and customer documents.

Three to five years Aerospace quality inspection experience

Quality oriented with a hands-on personality, "do it right the first time" personality.

Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.

Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to handle the walking, lifting, bending, stair climbing, and stooping required to perform the job

Possess a high degree of initiative and be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.

Team oriented, possessing the ability to work cohesively with others to accomplish assigned responsibilities.
