About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (CCMO) to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization's communications and marketing strategy. The CCMO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for developing and managing a multi-channel integrated strategy that enhances the brand, engages key audiences, and supports the organization's mission of promoting civil and human rights. This includes owning the company's brand and visual identity, leading thought leadership initiatives, and overseeing the development of content for various platforms. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in communications and marketing, with a proven track record of building and managing diverse teams, and a passion for using communication as a force for positive change, particularly in the intersection of law, government, and social justice.Candidates for the CCMO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a strong preference for those who have worked in a government office or with government/elected officials. The role requires proficiency in public relations, digital marketing, and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into accessible messages. The CCMO will also be responsible for developing and executing a donor communications strategy in partnership with the Chief Development Officer. The successful candidate will be committed to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and will demonstrate outstanding written and oral communication skills. Experience in crisis communications and the ability to operate in a high-paced, multi-issue environment are also valued.
