Project Manager, Landscape Architecture

Overview:
The Project Manager, Landscape Architecture will lead a team of landscape architects and design technicians and is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of landscape architecture projects from conception to completion. The project manager will collaborate with both clients and team members to ensure that projects meet quality standards, budget requirements, and deadlines. This role will involve managing project resources, coordinating project activities, and providing leadership to project teams.
Responsibilities:
Work with clients to understand project requirements, goals, and constraints, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely project delivery within budget.
Coordinate with consultants and contractors to execute project plans effectively.
Oversee the invoicing process and ensure timely follow-up with clients regarding outstanding accounts receivable.
Evaluate probable construction costs for accurate project planning.
Draft and evaluate service agreements to establish clear terms and expectations.
Engage in business development activities, including representation at professional association/networking events.
Coordinate and manage project meetings.
Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance, support and opportunities for professional development growth and development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or related field from an accredited university
Licensed to practice as a Registered Landscape Architect in the State of Texas
8+ years relevant experience working in all phases of landscape architecture projects
Knowledge of City of Houston Chapter 42 Subdivisions, Developments, and Platting ordinance
Proven experience managing landscape architecture projects from concept through construction
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and Project Scheduler
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
Strong leadership skills
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships, both internal and external
Ability to work Monday Friday, 8am 5pm with occasional overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree
