Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the integration of spectrum management through the Information Warfare (IW) activities into planning as they pertain to support to 16th Air Force deployed and non-deployed assets
Supports the development, execution, and oversight of spectrum management, spectrum operations, and frequency management processes into 16 AF plans and operations
Provides protection plans to ensure friendly access to the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS), develops plans to attack adverse use of the EMS, coordinates operating authority and analyzes frequency spectrum requirements to determine compatibility with other users and minimize friendly EMS/fratricide issues
Provides spectrum management analytic support as directed by 16 AF as part of designated contingency, exercise, and wartime missions
Interfaces with higher headquarters, subordinate organizations, and external organizations in support of Air Force Spectrum Management; reviews frequency annexes for operational plans to provide guidance for units supporting contingency, exercise, and wartime missions
Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: 5-8 years of relevant experience
Experience with Joint functions at the operational, strategic, or national level; operational level analytical expertise
Technical expertise to understand and resolve electromagnetic interference (EMI), authorized allocation of the electromagnetic spectrum, electromagnetic characteristics, and electromagnetic compatibility
Knowledge of International and Host nation spectrum regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance with allocations and restrictions
Graduate of Spectrum Management (SM) Spectrum Operations Apprentice Course (SOAC), Keesler AFB, Battlefield Spectrum Management (BSM) Course, Fort Gordon or federal government certified Spectrum Management (SM) Spectrum Operations Apprenticeship
TS/SCI clearance is required
DESIRED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Experience with: developing a Joint Restricted Frequency List, Joint Spectrum Data Repository, and Joint Spectrum Interference reporting
SATCOM and GPS threats
Knowledge of Telecommunications systems, automated tools to review or process radio frequency requests
Experience with: Major or Combatant Command, Joint doctrine, Joint Spectrum Interference Resolution, Joint Doctrine Note 3-16, Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, CJCSI 3320.01 series, and Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Background in space (Space Force, SPACECOM) assets, operations, and organization
SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
