Job Duties:
* Rebill, follow-up, and collection activity for assigned payers
* Research, appeal, and address patient account balances
* Accurately and thoroughly document pertinent collection activity performed
* Verify claims adjudication utilizing appropriate resources and applications
* Initiate telephone and letter contact with parties responsible for reimbursement for services provided
* Edit and update claim information to meet and satisfy billing compliance guidelines for electronic and paper claim submission
* Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security regulations by appropriately handling patient information
* Participate in monthly meetings, seminars, and hands-on training and identify trends and claim-related issues
Qualifications:
* High school graduate or equivalent
* One year of previous medical front office experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* The ability to multitask with great attention to detail
* Outstanding customer service when communicating with patients and insurance carriers
* Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills
* Work well in a team environment toward monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
* Knowledge of billing/EMR software a plus
* Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
* Outgoing and energetic personality. Most importantly - you need to have FUN while you work!
