Provide technical support for maintaining, monitoring, integrating, and evaluating the Satellite Network for both the Satellite Ground Station and customer remote sites.

Key Responsabilities:

Perform real-time remote and onsite troubleshooting and maintenance for ground system malfunctions and quickly return mission-critical systems to service. Install, configure, operate, align, conduct performance testing, and perform unit and direct support maintenance on satellite communications equipment and associated devices.

Execute and maintain procedures required for building and configuring ground segment operation, ground terminal operations and remote terminals procedures including all support functions necessary to meet requirements. Interface with external partners and vendors to maintain Ground station and remote Satellite Equipment.

Job Contribution:

Should have basic Layer 2/3 IP Network understanding to be able to support devices including but not limited to satellite modems, routers, switches, access points, laptops, PCs, servers with various Operating systems (Windows, Linux etc.) and tools like Spectrum analyzers. Need basic Linux/UNIX skills to be able to provide administrative support for Linux servers and workstations.

Experience with creating service diagrams and documentation using Microsoft Visio and other MS Office tools. Need experience with iDirect Network Management system. Will need to deploy, test and record results for GEO and LEO terminals.

Will need basic electrical and copper/fiber cable testing skills. Should be able to analyze problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery. Should be able to work in 24x7 Network Operations environment taking customer support calls and supporting customer’s live to resolve issues with their GEO/LEO satellite services. Will participate in software/hardware upgrade projects activities including tech/business requirements and design, tech writing and Methods/Proc.
