Director, Strategic Partnerships

Role Overview
R-Zero is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager, Partnerships to play a pivotal role in accelerating our go-to market strategy involving strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have solid client-facing experience and be able to independently manage projects including ongoing partner management. This position will be responsible for working closely with and supporting the VP of Strategic Partnerships in executing key strategies that enhance R-Zero's business development, market presence, and reach.
This is a hybrid work-location position, with a minimum of one to two days per week spent in our San Francisco and Menlo Park offices.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support: Collaborate closely with the VP of Strategic Partnerships to provide assistance in partner conversations including drafting presentations and submitting supporting materials. Help in ad hoc cross-functional Business Development initiatives
Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities to inform partnership strategies that align with R-Zero's overarching goals and growth objectives
Identify & Engage Potential Partners: Proactively identify potential strategic partners, conducting thorough research and outreach to foster relationships that contribute to expanding R-Zero's market presence and drive sales opportunities
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to ensure that partnership initiatives are integrated effectively and executed with precision
Partnership Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing partnerships, tracking key metrics and reporting on the effectiveness of collaborations. Assist with the launching of new partners including implementation project plans. Independently own and manage potential new partners against defined partner metrics including ongoing support, issue escalation, and expansion opportunities
Qualifications
BA/BS required. MBA or similar advanced degree preferred but not required
10+ years in Partnerships, Business Development, Consulting, Sales, or similar experience in client-facing roles
Proven track record of successfully identifying, negotiating, and managing partnerships that drive business growth
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
Strategic thinker with the ability to align partnership initiatives with company goals
Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience in Corporate Real Estate, HVAC, Energy Efficiency, or a related field is a strong plus

The salary range for this position will vary based on candidate level, experience, and location. The base salary for this position contemplates a range of $145,000 - $185,000. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and a background check is required upon employment.
