DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Daly 6A is a dedicated, growing team, with an engaged Manager, committed to the professional growth and development of her team, and dedicated to patient experience.
Providing care for the older adult patient population with 39 beds, 16 semi- private rooms, and 5 rooms for end of life care.
This unit offers participation in nurse driven change projects, great nursing ratios , and optimal support staff.
In this role you will:
Develop/facilitate systems approach to care delivery for a given patient population across the care continuum, specifically using NICHE and other Geriatric resources to provide the best care for this population.
Assume a leadership role in planning and implementing clinical initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, and cost of care delivery.
Partner closely with multidisciplinary teams and identified physician leaders to optimize patient outcomes and evidence-based practice. Reports to nursing or service line director.
Develop and provide clinical education to direct care clinical staff, round on units to assess, advise, and evaluate difficult cases.
Implement, coordinate, and analyze in-service nursing education and training programs. Liaisons with educators.
Collecting appropriate date to evaluate the effectiveness of the program.
Identify high-risk patient care issues.
SCHEDULE:
Full Time days- Monday-Friday

QUALIFICATIONS:
Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Experience: Five years of relevant acute inpatient experience
Education: BSN required; Masters of Nursing preferred.
Gerontological Nursing Board Certification (GERO-BC) preferred
