**Reports To:** Director of Sales, EMEA

**JOB SUMMARY**
The Regional Sales Manager will locate, pursue, and develop strategic, key and target account business within geographical area/or within Industrial and Oil and Gas industries. He/she will promote all products in the Barksdale portfolio and create new business development opportunities consistent with account plan. The Regional Sales Manager will also ensure to meet sales objectives for each account to maintain profitable growth.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
* **Sales Strategy:** Develop and implement sales strategies, goals and objectives to ensure maximum sales growth from assigned Strategic Accounts; Evaluate new sales and product opportunities and formulate sales plans, reports and recommendations for presentation to management.
* **Business Acumen** : Act as a business manager by executing contracts, working with all appropriate departments and with all levels in Channel and OEM accounts; Understand the future requirements of the customers and to translate this into appropriate Barksdale/Crane Co. Sales; Investigate and resolve sales order and administrative issues involving other departments within Barksdale
* **Customer Service Orientation:** Work directly with all the customer stakeholders to translate customer requirements into market specifications for Barksdale products. Coordinate all Channel and OEM account/partner related activities with both Barksdale and the customer support team; Lead the customer account teams effort to ensure appropriate new product positioning within the account, test sites, training and product promotions.
* **Negotiation:** Within company guidelines, negotiate and execute terms and pricing for sales agreements in conjunction with marketing and sales management; Lead the pre-sales technical discussions to convert customer requirements into accurate and detailed specifications during the proposal phase.
* **Communication:** Communicate sales and marketing philosophy, policies and strategies to field sales representatives, Prepare all required sales management and administrative reports covering assigned area and/or accounts for Sales Management review
**PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS**
* 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in sales including OEM experience.
* Bachelor of Science in Technical field preferred, College degree or equivalent required.
* Knowledge of Sales and marketing principles, concepts, methods and practices
* Proficiency in PC software programs
* Ability to manage at all levels in large Strategic Accounts
* Ability to develop and successfully execute strategic plans against sales forecast
* Ability and experience in dealing with multiple large and complex projects illustrating project management capabilities
* Plan, organize, manage, coordinate, train and evaluate the work of sales and distribution personnel
* Must be able to interact with customers, sales and purchasing representatives, sales and marketing management, customers, distributors and others
