What you will do-
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager (EHS) will be responsible for the anticipation, recognition, evaluation and control of environment health and safety risk in a complex manufacturing environment. Collaborate with global EHS Leadership, local EHS Committee and facility leaders to deliver positive safety outcomes.
Additional Responsibilites:
Implement local and national Safety and Environmental compliance laws to deliver a safe and environmentally compliant facility
Write internal procedures to ensure compliance with Global EHS directives, national, and local EHS laws as well as ISO Standards
Manage in-house ethylene oxide sterilization program including employee safety, compliance to regulations, and environmental responsibilities
Train EHS topics to impacted employees and contractors
Provide monthly updates to local leadership regarding status of EHS Programs
Establish local / site specific metrics to drive EHS Program excellence
Conduct and manage a thorough internal audit process to evaluate compliance with Stryker’s written standards
Manage consultants, expenditures and other projects to meet goals and objectives.
Provide input to local EH&S budgets to ensure compliance and alignment with priorities defined in the standards
Review pending updates to regulations to ensure timely compliance
What you need-
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety or science related field required
A minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering, EHS or science related field required
Strong understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations to drive facility compliance required
Strong knowledge of Ethylene Oxide use and EHS impact of ethylene oxide sterilization required
Experience managing external contractors, leading cross functional teams and proven ability to lead projects to successful outcome including Budget, Time, and Scope - preferred
