(Temporary) Construction Solutions Design Coordinator

Job Description Job Description In Addition, You Will
Assume responsibility for the completion of designated design coordination and administration tasks under the supervision of the design project lead.
Supporting process alongside the internal team with the following:
Supporting the Pre-Award process alongside the internal team
Estimating based on take-offs, previous project pricing, and coordination with sub-vendors.
Architectural drawing set reviews and construction drawing reviews.
New Project Take-Offs, markups, and Scope Development
Develop RFIs to be reviewed by the project team.
Coordinating/Scheduling project meetings and taking minutes.
Create and update project-specific specification packages alongside Pivot’s manufacturer partners.
Order project-specific finish samples and assist in generating submittal packages.
Perform specification and order double checks.
Assist with the organization and preparation of meeting and presentation materials.
Assist with the organization and completion of project closeout documents.
Potential to support the project team with client tours, visits and presentations.
Proactively identify project risks, offering creative solutions and alternatives; work with lead designer to execute next steps, evaluates results.
Place orders with manufacturers and work directly to coordinate lead times and ship dates.
Submit and manage Punch orders with manufacturers.
Participate in ongoing learning around strategic areas of focus, including partner products and solutions, sustainable design, design tools and technology, and workplace strategy.
Champion design operational excellence by implementing established design processes and documentation standards; manage and record billable hours, cultivate efficiencies, and reduce errors.
Demonstrate proficient time management skills; effectively address competing priorities and urgent situations, making sound decisions in short timeframes with appropriate action and guidance from a design mentor or project lead.
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

We’re Excited About You If You Have
An associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and up to 2-year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and construction industry experience.
Basic understanding of commercial construction, building systems, building codes, electrical, and cabling.
Experience in construction estimating – (CSI format or unit cost estimating)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
Strong, persuasive communicator with excellent verbal presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to colleagues and clients.
Experience and demonstrated skills using Revit, AutoCAD Excel & PowerPoint,.
Experience with any of the following software would be a plus: Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, In Design, and Illustrator), ICE, and CET.
