About the Role We are looking for a Sr. Data Scientist to discover impactful member information hidden in our marketing, operational and financial data. You will be responsible for helping us make smarter decisions to deliver better offers, products and services to our members. The primary focus of the role will be performing statistical analysis, building high quality predictive analytics, and developing AI and ML systems that will integrate with our eCommerce website, customer portal and internal marketing and operational tools and applications. Responsibilities •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and frame data-driven problems effectively •Perform analysis using relevant data tools; we prefer Python and Spark SQL. •Develop end-to-end solutions, from problem framing with stakeholders to production implementation, impact measurement, and presentation to the leadership team •Provide analytical thought leadership by suggesting new experiments and identifying opportunities to use existing data to answer important business questions •Directly or indirectly oversee contributions from other team members, including Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Analytics Engineers Requirements •Proven experience using analytics to solve business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) •Expertise with statistical analysis such as linear models, multivariate analysis, hypothesis testing, and time series analysis •Familiarity with causal inference techniques such as instrumental variables, difference-in-differences, fixed effects regression, synthetic controls, and double ML •Ability to communicate complex findings and solutions to non-technical stakeholders •Experience working with large datasets in a cloud environment; we use Azure •Experience working with version control; we use github •Track record of delivering robust, scalable data solutions with high code quality and reproducibility Preferred Qualifications •Track record of using analytics to influence stakeholders and drive measurable business outcomes •Experience in solving marketing and operational problems within an e-commerce or similar domain •Experience mentoring new Data Scientists and Engineers What We Offer Our Values We are a mission-driven company and strive to embody our values in every step of the process.
