Salary: $125,000 - $171,000 per annum (Based on Experience) + Bonus Incentive
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Labor and Delivery to lead our team in providing high-quality, patient-centered care. As the Director, you will oversee the overall function and staffing of the Labor and Delivery unit(s)/department(s), ensuring adherence to standards of care and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide oversight of the Labor and Delivery unit(s)/department(s) function and staffing.
Implement evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes.
Manage variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
Stay abreast of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and legal regulations.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Ensure efficient patient throughput and delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Develop care coordination policies and procedures to promote improved quality, safety, and efficiency.
Foster interdisciplinary communication and collaboration within and across departments.
Direct nursing practice and unit operations to meet patient and family needs.
Provide leadership in attaining and sustaining an unparalleled patient experience.
Instill accountability for providing consistent, positive patient interactions.
Leverage feedback mechanisms to benchmark performance and improve patient satisfaction.
Foster a culture that inspires commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values.
Collaborate with administrative team and physicians to enhance existing services or develop new offerings.
Participate in the annual budget process and monitor department budget performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education plan required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; Master’s Degree preferred.
Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice.
BLS certification required; ACLS, NRP, FHM, RNC-OB preferred.
Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience in an acute care setting.
Minimum 3 years of recent leadership experience in an acute care setting.
