Salary: $85,000, with potential flexibility based on experience
Terrific Finance Manager role with an international development nonprofit. The position will be responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of grant funded projects. Responsibilities will include financial reporting & analysis, budgets, audits, compliance, and cost proposals. The position will work closely with the Programs team and grantees to ensure proper award implementation, compliance, and ongoing financial management.
Responsibilities:
Manage financial reporting & analysis, budgets, awards management, and compliance for a portfolio of grants
Collaborate extensively with colleagues in-country on various grant matters
Develop donor and budget reports
Ensure timely completion of all deliverables
Manage grant awards, including donor agreements
Oversee compliance and apply donor rules and regulations
Provide mentorship to sub-award grantees on financial management and compliance
Travel internationally, as needed
Qualifications:
Approximately 3-5+ years relevant finance, grants, and contracts experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master's degree a plus
Strong Excel experience, plus experience with financial management tools
Knowledge of GAAP
Bilingual French, Spanish, or Arabic is a plus, Spanish is preferred
Ability to explain complex financial topics to various audiences, including non-English speakers and non-finance staff
Experience with USAID or other large US government funders
Ability to travel internationally, as needed
