The Cultivation Lead is also responsible for leading Cultivation Staff in daily workflows pertaining to the cultivation of flowering plants. This position oversees

cloning, canopy work, plant work including pruning and defoliating, harvesting, cleaning, and sanitizing of rooms between rounds, as well as throughout the plant cycle. The cultivation leads are also responsible for using CANIX and Metrc to perform certain compliance related tasks, as well as training new hires, etc at our facility in

Northampton. You will also assist with site and security management needs as they arise. This role will work closely with management and fellow staff, in assisting with all standard operating procedures and staying within compliance per legal and regulatory requirements established by Community Growth Partners and the state of

Massachusetts. Additionally, you will be assisting with manufacturing duties from time to time based on the production schedule for wholesale orders.

RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with coaching, supporting, and motivating team members to help maintain an efficient and steady workflow.

Assist with training new employees as well as the re-training of existing employees when needed.

Ensure all cultivation areas maintain a safe, clean, and sterile environment. This includes maintaining clean nutrient/fertigation areas, taking out waste from the bathroom area and other trash cans, sweeping cultivation areas, assisting with bug lights/traps, and maintaining a clean green waste area.

Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment, ensuring all machinery is in good working order.

Conduct routine inspections of cultivation equipment and facilities, identifying and addressing any maintenance issues promptly.

Assist with online workflow duties in CANIX to help keep our production on schedule for wholesale needs.

Ensuring all daily tasks from weekly cultivation task spreadsheet are timed, recorded, and uploaded to CANIX.

Logging daily of all green waste in CANIX as well as in the Waste Log.

Ensure IPM protocols are being implemented and followed.

Help to maintain the general rotational plant schedule including all plant care/ transitional steps.

Serve as the Manager-on-Duty, in the absence of manager or as directed by management.

Complete other duties and or projects as assigned by Cultivation Manager.

Assisting Cultivation Manager with weekly task spreadsheet

Adhering to and implementing all SOP’s pertaining to cultivation of cannabis

Supervising any cultivation associates, and flex team members who are working in the cultivation area, ensuring all tasks are completed in a correct and timely manner.

Assisting Cultivation Manager in inventory tracking of cultivation supply stock to include nutrients, cloning materials, CO2, and grow medium.

Verify proper identification and sign in visitors/maintain visitor log.

Report any onsite security, property or maintenance issues to the proper channels.

Availability to work weekends or over time to make sure all tasks are complete.

Attention to detail.

REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent

2+years of relevant work experience in a cannabis facility

Hands-on experience with mechanical systems and equipment maintenance

Familiarity with tools and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance

Exceptional oral and written communication skills

Exceptional customer service skills and engagement

Professional, positive demeanor with vendors, customers and fellow staff members

Ability to adapt to new rules, regulations, products, systems and team members at any given time.

Well-versed on cannabis products and various methods of consumption

Flexibility with hours/availability; willing to cover shifts as needed

Skilled with Microsoft Office or similar productivity software suites, as well as industry-related software

Must be able to use and maintain facility equipment appropriately and safely

Proficiency with computer systems and ability to master new software

Knowledge of state rules and the ability to keep the establishment compliant

Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a current Marijuana Establishment Agent Registration Card

Must comply with the CCC’s and company’s regulations for working in the industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of inventory control systems, especially in the cannabis industry, is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Long periods of prolonged standing, sitting and use of hands.

Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment, including computers, walkie talkies and phones.

Ability to observe and assess material that deviates from established company standards.

Some crouching, stooping, lifting, balancing, or holding uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time; repetitive motions.

Requires bending and lifting 40+ pounds for distances of up to 100 feet.

Ability to work in facility with fluorescent and other lighting exposure with limited access to natural light.
