Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our customer in Tualatin, OR. Interested?
You will work as part of the team in our product development group to design, implement, integrate, and test moderately complex electrical subsystems on Semiconductor Fabrication Equipment.
Develop schematics for control system applications.
Design and layout circuit boards for on tool control system as well as testing applications.
Applies mathematical/engineering methods to electrical system designs.
Contributes to research efforts through the development of test plans, use of data acquisition and data analysis.
Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Works with multidisciplinary engineering design team to design and modify custom and OEM system components.
Develops and reviews design documentation to support design release.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design and development of industrial machinery with a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical engineering or similar.
Knowledgeable in CAD tools like ORCAD, Allegro, ZUKEN E3 or equivalent CAD packages for circuit design & simulation
Knowledgeable
in PCB/ Low voltage circuit board layout and design for power and control applications.
Very good oral, written, and presentation skills in English.
Hands-on experience in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), development and associated electrical board design, troubleshooting and validation required.
Experience in signals and controls theory required.
Has a solid system level understanding of Electrical architecture, design of IO Controllers and Applications.
Experience in the application of power and controls technologies for systems automation.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Familiar with design for serviceability, manufacturability, reliability, etc.
Experience in troubleshooting with problem-solving techniques like 5-why, 8D, fishbones, etc.
Practical experience with sensors, actuators, field busses (e.g. Ethernet, Serial, EtherCAT),measurement and controls technology.
Direct experience documenting design using Zuken E3 and ORCAD for electrical designs is preferred.
Working knowledge of applicable electrical related standards like UL, CE, IEC, SEMI
