The Position:
This is a very dynamic and fast-track position reporting to the O&M Manager. The position will be the key member of service team, performing Preventative and corrective maintenance and additional Services on Battery and PV projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
as a lead on O&M maintenance and troubleshooting assignments for Battery Storage and Inverters
commissioning of Battery storage systems (AC & DC couple) and PV solar inverters to prepare
various maintenance tasks with software involved in the operation, testing and maintenance of central inverters and battery storage units
electrical troubleshooting and testing of inverters. Use of PQA and oscilloscope as needed
troubleshooting to investigate plant issues (DC battery/inverter faults, MV transformers)
feedback on possible mechanical and electrical design improvements
work in the field and communicate effectively with customers
with EMS/SCADA engineers to troubleshoot system faults
Field Service procedures if there is not available for trouble-shooting, and maintenance
document work completed into maintenance tracking system
with R&D engineering in China if required help during troubleshooting
performs a range of maintenance/repair tasks involving communication with Factory Engineering
closely with engineering, logistics, and Commissioning teams to maintain the plants
usage of spare part inventory
deliver and submit field reports to customer and management
development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work
site visits, investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and recommendations
Minimum Requirements:
plus years of overall experience in engineering/maintenance
years of experience in Battery Storage systems and/or 2 years for solar inverters
possess the ability to work with test equipment and hand tools as required
possess customer service, problem-solving skills, and possess decision making and analytical skills
possess effective written and verbal communication skills
be able to closely follow instruction and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the duties of the job
be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, power Point and Outlook)
NFPA70E, Electrical Safety
Education or Desired License and Certificates:
Renewable industry experience is required
Power Electronics experience is required

For candidates in the states of California, Colorado, New York and Washington, the anticipated base pay for this role is between $36 to $40/hr plus OT. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The base pay offered is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, location, or other factors related to the role.
