CPU Design Technology Specialist

Redwood City, CA, United States

A law firm is seeking a skilled CPU Design Technology Specialist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for drafting patent applications, corresponding with patent offices, advising patent litigation teams, and interviewing inventors. This role requires a strong background in either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, expertise in CPU Design, and a minimum of 2 years of patent prosecution experience.

Draft patent applications for innovative clients, providing comprehensive descriptions and figures.

Correspond with patent offices regarding pending patent applications to ensure timely and effective communication.

Advise patent litigation teams based on technical and scientific expertise in the relevant field.

Conduct interviews with inventors to gather information about new ideas and inventions.

Requirements:

A strong background in either Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.

Experience in CPU Design, including virtual memory management.

An advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred.

Minimum of 2+ years of patent prosecution experience.

Superior writing skills with excellent academic credentials.

Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office is preferred.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (required).

Advanced degree in a relevant field (preferred).

Certifications:

Registration before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (preferred).

Skills:

Proficiency in drafting patent applications with attention to detail.

Strong technical and scientific knowledge in CPU Design.
