South Bay Design Center has been the premier kitchen and bath remodeling company in the South Bay Area for over 30 years. Now located in the ultra-modern Atrium Design Center, an innovative open concept home improvement mall, we are looking for a Showroom/Project Manager who can be a true leader and manage a team of highly talented designers!
As the Showroom/Project Manager you will oversee all aspects of a luxury Kitchen & Bath Showroom. The ultimate goal of leading your design team is to ensure that clients receive the highest level of customer satisfaction possible throughout the entire design process. In addition, you will be responsible for business development and lead marketing efforts to successfully reach consumers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Management
- Inspire his or her team to have a high level of engagement and performance
- Plan the sales development of the team by setting sales goals and share sales strategies
- Assist with project management. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems and processes are in place, and onboarding the new showroom staff
- Encourage team members to continuously develop their personal and professional skills in the design area of expertise
Sales Administration
- Ensure all sales activities are properly processed according to the company's procedures
- Prepare weekly sales summary and monthly reports to the owner
- Prepare and analyze aging report and ensure prompt payment receipt
Communications
- Conduct weekly stand-up meetings with designers to discuss project updates
- Communicate with Job Superintendents as needed
- Communicate with Vendors on a consistent basis for receiving product updates and relating the information to the design team
- Set up a Trade Loyalty Program to maximize relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, and Independent Kitchen & Bath Designers
- Coordinate & oversee showroom events
- Attend industry and networking events
- Be the point person for local marketing opportunities and communicate to management
- Make sure the showroom is in good repair and coordinate any change-outs of appliances so that no display is left without an appliance for over 72 hours
- Hire and conduct interviews of prospective candidates
Project Management
- Scheduling jobs for installation
- Hiring construction crew
- Job quality control
- Customer service
QUALIFICATIONS:
*** Kitchen and bath showroom and management experience is a must ***
- Previous experience managing a team of Kitchen & Bath Designers a plus, but not required
- Previous experience supervising Residential Kitchen and Bath Design projects
- Proven track record of driving sales while managing a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Decisive and strong with conflict resolution, process compliance, and customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of custom cabinetry, residential construction, building materials, and design and construction terminology
- Sales aptitude including the ability to close the sale, presentation skills, initiative, persistence, adaptability, and professionalism
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year estimated pay based on performance
Schedule:
- Showroom hours are 10am-6pm, 5 days per week
