Statement Of Work Details
Functional responsibility -
Plans, executes, and arranges laboratory experiments, new techniques and procedures; and performs laboratory techniques relating to scientific research.
Create and manage inventory databases (animal tissues, antibodies, reagents etc.)
Operates laboratory machines and instruments; and prepares specimens and equipment for use.
Assist in the preparation of Animal Study Protocols and establish local processes to ensure adherence to approved protocol requirements
Performs sample management and storage.
Maintain stocks of laboratory reagents
Analyzes, documents and reports on all procedures performed.
Organize and store all chemicals and laboratory reagents according to safety requirements
Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies.
Manage chemical & biological waste procedures (local processes)
Cleans and sterilizes instruments, glassware and equipment.
Maintain animal records database, perform mouse genotyping and recording
Plan execute and arrange laboratory experiments, new techniques and procedures; and performs laboratory techniques relating to scientific research.
Assist with management of after-hours emergencies (e.g. equipment failure)
Maintains inventory of laboratory supplies and initiates purchase orders.
Assist in training of new staff and students
Performs routine equipment maintenance.
Assist in establishing new laboratory protocols
Plan execute and arrange laboratory experiments, new techniques and procedures; and performs laboratory techniques relating to scientific research.
Assist others in the team as required to optimize the Group's research effort
Analyzes documents, reports on all procedures performed, and produces detailed reports for use by senior staff.
Assist others in the team as required to optimize the Group's research effort
Performs advanced equipment maintenance.
Develop laboratory safety protocols, manage training and related records
Trains staff in performing routine laboratory tests and procedures.
Train new staff on the use, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Provides insights and expertise and recommends new strategies and approaches.
Engage in problem solving as required to solve technical difficulties and to ensure steady progress, with a goal of providing high quality experimental data suitable for publication.
