Gridiron IT is seeking a Linux Administrator to support a federal program in Washington, DC. Candidate will clear for a Secret clearance.
Job Description:
Resource should have a minimum of 5 years RedHat Linux experience working on with high availability and complex mission critical solutions. Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Resource will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the RedHat Enterprise Linux operating system, in the clients Production, and Non-Production environments, running on assets in both physical and virtual machines within government datacenters, as well as Azure Gov Cloud.
Resource will be responsible for hardening the operating systems per the client's security configuration standards, addressing govt security mandates, and providing ongoing technical support for patching and upgrades. Will provide access management enablement, file system support & maintenance, as well as troubleshoot complex operating system issues. Will utilize bash/shell scripting to enhance platform automation and operation. Resource will work closely with our client operations teams to support networking and external integrations.
The Linux Application administrator will provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
Resource must be willing and able to travel to DC Metro client site for periodic planned or emergency support of "Classified" systems.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years in Linux administration, 3+ years in Azure administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Azure GovCloud experience a huge plus, setting up networks, firewalls, app gateways, etc.
-Shell scripting for automation a huge plus.
-Ansible experience a huge plus.
