The Project Manager will report directly to the Plumbing Service Managerand assistin planning, coordinating, and directing projects. This position will involve project management, estimating, and site supervision as well as other duties.
The Project Manager will develop relationships both inside and outside of the company that promote Knott Mechanical and the Plumbing Department in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
Print and organize drawings and specifications for use byProject Managers and Field Personnel.
Perform site visits, as directed, to assist in estimating and project management.
Communicate with customers for scheduling, progress reporting, and completion.
Assist in developing a materials list, submitting Requests for Quotes, and sourcing for best prices.
Assist with Job start-up meetings.
Ordermaterials and ensure delivery of materials to sites.
Review, apply, and renew permits, Miss Utility Locating requests, and inspections.
Assist in the preparation of estimates, schedules, planning, and cost reporting.
Assist in the preparation of closeout documents including as-built drawings, warranties, operation and maintenance manuals, and delivery of camera work/inspections to customers.
Assist with on-call scheduling and supervision of after-hours/emergency projects.
Traveling to various job sites is a part of this position (a valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required).
Experience and Training:
3 – 5 years full-time plumbing experience
Strong customer service and relations
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of general plumbing and piping installation
Knowledge of underground plumbing and excavation
Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication
Clean driving record and must pass DOT physical and drug screening
Good math ability and general accounting skills
General computer skills
Ability to lift up to50 lbs.
