Accounting Manager

Stealth Partner Group an Amwins Group Company is looking for an ambitious Accounting Manager who is passionate about playing a critical role in the maintenance and growth of our organization. The Accounting Manager will work under the supervision of the Vice President of Finance.
This position is located in Scottsdale, AZ and will be an in-office position with the ability to work from home up to 2 days a week.

Responsibilities include:
* Responsible for the overall performance of the financial reporting team including but not limited to, timecard management, recommendations on placement/promotions, annual performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions or job dismissal* Assist with long- and short-term strategic financial plans and projects* Manage finance operations, reporting and compliance functions* Analyze and clearly articulate financial performance and results to key stakeholders* Partner with senior leadership to create relevant performance metrics and establish a cadence for ongoing financial reporting and analysis* Assess and develop internal controls, policies and procedures* Lead month-end close activities, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, etc. to assist senior leadership with financial analysis* Collaborate with department leadership to maintain and improve financial processes for month-end close* Develop reporting packages & dashboards for financial & business review meetings that support meaningful discussions* Support corporate finance on various projects and initiatives, as needed* Assist and lead other departmental tasks and projects, as needed
Qualifications include:
* 4+ years' working experience in accounting and/or finance required* Strong working knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles required* Data analysis and related analytical tool skills required (Access, Excel, etc.)* Ability to provide guidance regarding financial data integrity pertaining to automated reporting required* Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written required* Proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across all levels required* 3+ years of leadership experience strongly preferred* Experience using administrative systems, financial planning software and data analysis tools preferred (PowerBI)* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business not required but strongly preferred* Group Benefit Insurance background and management experience strongly preferred* Experience working within Great Plains, Sage, or similar G/L packages preferred* Experience with administrative systems and financial planning/budgeting software preferred* Prior involvement with systems and data conversions and related projects preferred* Proven to be detailed and results oriented, strategic and equipped to manage multiple competing priorities
