POSITION: Electrical Engineer III

LOCATION: Seattle,WA

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5+ Years

POSITION OVERVIEW

Applies electrical design knowledge, skill, and ability to create construction drawings for the project owner and provides continuous professional support throughout the entire construction process. Serves as the primary liaison responsible for coordination and communication activities between the design team and the client/customer and provides project management oversight and professional support throughout the entire construction process.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides complete management of project timelines and related design activity communication between the design team and the client/customer, accurately & timely

In accordance with company standards, provides assistance in the preparation of accurate and complete proposals and engineering agreements

Accurately and timely produces electrical design elements consistent with project specifications in accordance with the project hours, scope & parameters

Produces electrical construction documents appropriate for permitting based on project specifics

Provides research design options consistent with project requirements

Produces accurate and complete engineering project specifications within project parameters

Accurately and consistently execute QA/QC process

Provide project coordination with in-house and outside sources

Provides timely consultation on projects to manage schedules, deadlines, site surveys, punch lists, building codes, and standards consistent with company quality standards

Actively participates in post-design consultation activities and represents the company in client meetings through construction completion

Assists in the preparation of other documents germane to a project with enthusiasm and professionalism

Responsible for onboarding and overseeing junior engineers

Actively mentors junior engineers and designers

Provide timely billing of projects to the accounting department

Follows established work rules, policies, and procedures

Actively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies and reduce costs

Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles or responsibilities as assigned

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Other general office processes and procedures and project activities

Actively participate in a company committee

REQUIREMENTS

A 4-year degree in engineering is required, EIT and/or PE preferred

Minimum of 5 years experience

Expert knowledge of building codes and standards

Knowledge of engineering drafting standards

Knowledge of electrical engineering standards and other trades

Demonstrable understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.

Knowledge of AutoCAD

Knowledge of Revit

Good communication skills
