We are looking for a Marketing Director. As the Marketing Director, you will lead our company's marketing efforts.
General Functions:
You will guide our marketing communications department and contractors by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for our company's brands and products.
The candidate will also work closely with our sales department on go-to-market and promotional strategies that will help us maximize profits and market share. Key responsibilities include maintaining a flow of viable sales leads, maximizing SEO and CRO, and managing the marketing communications budget.
Finally, the Marketing Director is responsible for organizing company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
Primary Responsibilities:
Overseeing marketing department.
Evaluating and developing our marketing strategies and plans.
Planning, directing, and coordinating marketing efforts.
Communicating the marketing plan.
Work with the product marketing team to ensure successful product and feature launches
Work with the sales department to develop pricing/promotional strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
Manage marketing communications budget.
Work with the marketing communications manager to develop an advertising plan.
Maintain the flow of viable leads to the sales teams.
Build brand awareness and positioning.
Conduct or commission market research.
Represent company/brand at industry events.
Oversee company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
Oversee digital and social media marketing, including company websites.
You will need a bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications to be considered for this position. You will also need to have proven experience in running a marketing team and marketing campaigns. High competency in project management is a huge advantage.
As a member of the management team, this position reports directly to the president of the company. Experience in a senior management role is desired.
Supervises and Directs:
Marketing communications manager and team (four full-time members)
Marketing contractors (PR, SEO/CRO, web development)
Education:
A degree in marketing, business management, or a related discipline is required. Post-graduate degrees or certifications are helpful.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of marketing management. Fifteen or more are preferred. Must have experience managing people.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Normal office environment. This is not a remote or hybrid position. Light to medium travel. This position requires flexibility in work schedules with occasional nights and weekend work as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
