in order to change lives by making a healthy lifestyle more accessible. Fitness Connection is now hiring for a District Manager
position. The District Manager provides strategic direction for the team of Club Managers and acts as the primary support for
the CMs & ACMs (Assistant Club Managers) in his/her designated district. The DM must display Fitness Connection culture to
his/her clubs and be a creative team player who believes in the power of changing lives through fitness.

BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
Curate high performing club leadership teams that maintain a focus on developing Fitness Professionals and changing lives through Fitness
Partner with both Club Leadership and Home Office Departments to ensure smooth and timely communication and execution of initiatives, systems & programs
Recruits, hires and promotes club leadership team Develops and trains club leadership
Identifies high potential talent
Consistently recognizes and rewards great performance Provides coaching and feedback to build competency
Supports people practices in clubs with teammates, taking appropriate action as needed
Ensures consistent effective communication
Cascades new information & training though both event-based and ongoing methods
Provides follow up and feedback around initiatives, systems and programs to club leaders
Liaises with senior-level leadership to coordinate and report on ongoing issues
Works closely and collaboratively with cross-functional departments throughout the organization
FINANCIAL RESULTS
CLUB OPERATIONS
Create and execute proactive plans while coaching The Play every day and adjusting based on results in real time
Ensure a well-run, standard driven portfolio of clubs through day to day visits, communication and follow up focused on Fitness, Sales & Operations
Ensures revenue and expense goals are met Manages club operating budgets
Facilitates forward-looking club plans
Reviews club schedules to ensure accurate coverage and efficient use labor hours
Monitor sales and work toward meeting quarterly objectives
Analyzes business trends and data to assess and improve area performance, both operationally and financially
Manages execution of day-to-day club operations Holds team accountable to Fitness Connection systems and
standards
Monitors adherence to member programs
Provides feedback and support around club appearance & maintenance
Ensures consistent retail program execution
Offers consultation and recommendations to club managers on overcoming operations challenges
Our District Managers oversee a portfolio of clubs and supervise individual club managers and assistant club managers at
all locations. District Managers work a varied and flexible work week, including weekend, evening and early morning hours as
the business requires.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required, College Degree preferred
For external hire, minimum of 12 months of multi-club management with a proven record of success required, preferably
in the fitness industry.
For internal promotion, minimum of six months (18 months preferred) as a Club Manager with Fitness Connection; must
be in good company standing and have a proven record of performance
Knowledge of the Fitness industry as well as the necessary business acumen of running a complete business unit [Risk,
Talent, Facilities, etc]
Knowledge and skills in staffing with proven record of results
Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and able to
adapt to new systems easily
Valid state drivers license and clean driving record is required
Criminal background check will be performed as a term of employment
Position duties require daily standing, walking, sitting, lifting, bending, squatting, and reaching
Daily travel to clubs within designated region
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business-related documents such as financial reports and legal documents
Ability to respond verbally and in writing, to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or
members of the business community
Ability to effectively present information to top management and to members of the business community
Fluent in written and spoken English required, addition of Spanish skills a plus
