Job Description Job Description Our Transportation Business Unit is seeking a Traffic Engineer as part of our Smart Mobility Practice working on a variety of Traffic Engineering Design and Planning Projects. As a mid-level civil engineer, the responsibilities will be diverse and will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Working with diverse project teams on all aspects of projects, including project set-up, data collection, data analysis, documentation, quality review and quality assurance, project coordination/organization, etc.

Signing Design

Striping Design

Signal Design

Temporary Traffic Control

Illumination Design

ITS Design

Leading tasks for traffic design projects

Supporting project managers and task leads on multi-discipline projects.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Licensed Professional Engineer in Washington or Idaho (or the ability to obtain it within 1 year and has EIT certification)

5 plus years of professional engineering experience

Ability to work both in teams and independently

Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with course work in traffic engineering

Experience leading project tasks or small teams

Experience with business development

Experience training others in fundamentals of traffic design tasks

Experience with design software such as Microstation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Guide Sign, SignCAD, AGi32, etc.

Experience with analysis software such as Synchro, aaSidra, RODEL, VISSIM, HCS, etc.
